Alkali-Silica Reaction (ASR): Aggregate Source Maps

For questions on ASR data contact the Concrete Engineering Unit

The Office of Materials has tested several concrete aggregate sources for potential alkali-silica reactivity. The aggregate sources have been mapped according to their 14-day expansion test results. There are 3 sets of maps for each District. An aggregate source is placed on a map if any of its test results fall in the range depicted on that map. An aggregate source may be on more than one map (e.g., the cement used, or the use of flyash or slag can affect test results). Only aggregate sources in which the geographical location is known are mapped.

The ASR maps are in Adobe (pdf) format and are available in subsets according to District. A complete listing of the test results begins on the fourth page of each pdf file.Click below on the District number of interest. These maps may be viewed with the Adobe Acrobat Reader.
