Duties: Burke leads the Information Technology Section for the Office of Materials and Road Research. He is responsible for managing and planning functions related to Mn/ROAD’s information systems, including the data collection system and the very large Oracle database. Burke’s other duties involve the management of database administration, application development, network administration and desktop support in the office.

Expertise: Burke has over ten years of experience in database administration and application development. For the past five years he has led the efforts to collect, manage, and report on Mn/ROAD data used by pavement researchers. Burke has been especially dedicated to concerns related to the development of data quality checks and safeguards.
